I recently inherited a Quicksilver case with most of the parts, however the screws and screwposts for securing the processor to the MOBO are missing.

Does anyone know where I can find these at a reasonable cost? No luck on ebay so far, unless I need to search for something other than "Quicksilver".

Thanks in advance.

If Apple doesn't have them, I'd try radioshack/Home Depot. They might have something that works.

I'd go with Brien's suggestion.

But, if you must have them, have you looked at Macpalace.com?
(Exact part number would make the search much faster). ;)

Good idea for MacPalace, however thier cost is $25 - seems a bit steep. I found the part number though:

Screw, Processor to Logic Board, Pkg. of 5 (922-4051)

Any other suggestions?

If you have enough specific information, type, length, thread,..., you could try fastenal.com. :)

There are a few other similar places, just google. ;)
Not sure about cost, as it's a small quantity, but in my experience, they would likely be cheaper. I've had to use them on more than one occasion. :D

Problem solved, did some intensive searching on ebay and found them at a very reasonable price $8.

Thanks for the assist, all your help was key in finding the right part.

 Glad you got it sorted. :)
And at $8, not bad either, considering the other source was $25. :p

Others may benefit from your search, so could you post a link?
