Canada, Eh?
Since iOS 6 will be supported on the 3Gs, and they go for pretty cheap, is it a good idea to buy this phone?

It all depends on what you would want with the phone. I would note that the 3GS is getting almost NONE of the major features of iOS 6, and will most likely not be updated past the final update in iOS 6. If you would be ok to be stuck on a 2 year contract with that being said, you should go for it...

Also keep in mind that iOS 5 already slowed 3GS significantly.
I doubt I will load iOS 6 on my 3GS, I will keep using it as it is now until something nasty happens. In the meantime I plan to buy a main one, thus 3GS will de facto become my secondary phone, unless I use a dual SIM card system

i can get it for 300 new no contract. Looking at iPhone 4 second hand prices now, it looks like the 4 would be more appropriate.

for secondary phone after my iphone 4s, i suggest you to take a look at galaxy wonder, it's small and up to par with iphone 4.

or just get the second hand iphone 4.

My primary phone is a Galaxy S2. Not looking for another Android.
