My girlfriend accidentally deleted a huge folder of photos and then proceeded to empty the trash without thinking anything of it, later she realized what she did. So naturally I'm trying to help her find some software to get the photos back. She's tried a trial version of something (sorry I can't remember what) and it said that the volume was too large. So she needs something that can recover a VERY large folder.
Thanks in advance

Well if the photos are needed that bad, pay for the software :D

Data Rescue X is pretty good.

It's not the money issue, it's making sure that the software will work with a large volume. I guess it's possible that there is a size limit on the trial.

That would be my guess. For now make sure its off, you dont want the have the virtual memory, temp files and caches over-write the photos.

Disk Warrior is another that comes to mind, but that one actually CAUSED to lose data. Apple had changed the way it organized files, DW did not know better and toasted the directory. Lost a lot of stuff and there was no way to get it back.
