As a forever user of CorelDraw... I had always hoped that they would continue their support for the Mac when I made the decision to "switch" last year. But it wasn't in the cards, because mac users seemed more interested in Illustrator as a pro tool. Actually, Corel can do probably most of what AI does and the learning curve is somewhat easier... but we have to live with other people's decisions.
So... I'm wondering if anyone would care to recommend a good beginner's book on Illustrator that will get me into the basics. Maybe one that does it visually with examples, or a complimentary CD that has practical lessons. I just need to get my feet wet and want a desk reference rather than using online help or tutorials.
Thanks in advance for the help.
