Hey all! It's been a minute since I had to post here, so last summer I bought a 2020 Air and had issues with and returned it and bought a 2020 Pro in August. This computer was great, until it wasn't.

A line appeared in the display in April 2021, took it in for warranty and they replaced the screen, the screen upon replacement was not as bright (and the blacks looked faded or greyish on the display) the USBC port top left started to act up and wouldn't charge the laptop when I connected the charger via that port, then the replaced display started flickering.. like the computer was having a stroke.

I took it back they said I was a "looper" and AGAIN replaced the display and the USBC port that was acting up.

I took the laptop in Friday Aug 13 2021, picked it up Sunday Aug 15 2021, as I write this it's Thursday but I noticed on Wednesday Aug 18 that the USBC port that was "replaced" is now broken again (It won't accept the computers charger it won't "snap" in) it doesn't even connect flush with the port, EXACT same problem that was repaired, I also notice that my keyboard is different on one side and the touch pad is less responsive :(

At what point is it fair to say this computer is a lemon? and at what point can I have it replaced?

(I'm fine with a refurb of the same model, provided it has some level of warranty)

I have never had this level of problems on a brand new Apple computer (I've been using apple computers since 2003 and this is the first new apple computer I have ever had hardware issues with and I usually buy used!

My 2017 MacBook Air (purchased in 2019) is still thriving and survived daily backpacks to my son's high school and happily ran a dual boot and his intense usage pre and post covid until I had to buy him a PC due to his coding preferences and engineering classes, this Pro sits on my desk and has light usage!!

I plan to contact apple this morning, but I am tired of having to take this thing in all the time, how can I escalate this? any tips, I know I could sell it on the resale market but that feels disingenuous, I feel like Apple needs to step up here.

Thanks :)

If you were in Australia, it would have definitely been replaced by the third major hardware problem, if not sooner, under our consumer law legislation (ACL).
