I'm looking for a fix'er upper and was wonder how difficult it is to replace the cd-rom and charger port on this model?

Is it alot of really skilled work?

If the charger port is fubared, you'll likely need a new logic board. It depends on how bad the damage is, and what kind of skills you have wielding a soldering iron.
