A few action movies....

Apocalypse Now! (check out the documentary about the making of the movie, called: Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse. It's almost as good as the movie itself)
Saving Private Ryan
Band of Brothers (it's a 10 part miniseries, and if you like that, The Pacific is starting this month on HBO)
Full Metal Jacket

There's a lot of really bad films in that list!!

I know, but if you're a movie fan you'll know the good from the bad. plus it's not hard to check out a trailer/review if you're not sure.

There are definitely some crackers on there though that every guy MUST see!

Gritty Biblical Flick

My favorite movie for a long time portrays a different twist on the Biblical account of the story of King David. The movie 'King David' starring Richard Gheer is a gritty view of what it must have been like to be a king in an era that is most often hacked by Hollywood in Biblical films. The film is a visual experience as well as an action packed film - I really enjoy it.
