Hey everyone. I have a Macbook Pro mid 2012 that I absolutely love. I've been a windows user since Windows 98 and this is my first Apple Computer. However because of my college cirriculum I need to install packet tracer which I've heard there are some issues with OS X. If I use bootcamp and install Windows 7 would that work? Only reason I ask about Windows 7 instead of 8 is because I can get it fairly cheap. Does Bootcamp still support Windows 7? If not, any other way of getting around it so I don't have to purchase a windows laptop? I am not real familiar with bootcamp or parallels so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

Yes, Boot Camp supports Windows 7 quite well. It's just like booting into a Windows computer. This should help:
