hi all,
just switching over to new ip12pm from a 8+ on att. have a couple questions..
a) I bought att phone from Best Buy; they gave me a new SIM card too. should I just remove my current SIM card from 8+ and swap it over or should I use the new e-sim feature?
b) im still new to Face ID unlocking the home. my question is...why do I have to swipe up to unlock phone after Face ID kicks in? shouldn't it go to Home Screen directly?
c) what's the short cut to get to wallet from Lock Screen?
d) I really prefer to see the battery icon also display battery percentage (the digits of %)...how do I enable this?

thanks!

A) Don’t know, I am from the UK, but if they’ve given you a new SIM, chances are that it will be 5G compatible etc, so probably best to use that.

B) That is the way that it is supposed to work, many times I pick up my phone to look at notifications on the screen, but don’t want to unlock it to go to the Home Screen, so it works for me. Once you get used to it, it is really quick to unlock anyway. It becomes second nature to swipe up and the phone has usually unlocked before you’ve even thought about it. It is way better than any other method to date.

C) Double tap the power button and it goes straight to your wallet and your preferred card.

D) You can’t on the phones with the notch, if you slide down from the top right hand corner to reveal the control centre, your battery percentage is listed there.

D, took this away from the Home Screen and Lock Screen on the IPhone 10 I think it was. No way to enable it.

A. yes. You can just remove your sim from your old phone and put it in the new phone. Should be about to avoid the activation fee through att this way as well.
B. No. Face ID just unlocks the phone. Still have to swipe up.
C. Double press the sleep/wake button
D. There is no way to. Closest work around is to ad a battery widget to your Home Screen.

If they gave you a SIM with the phone you’ll want to use that one for 5G. Assuming your plan includes 5G.
