Need some help with Sn0wbreeze

So I've got an iPhone 4 GSM with iOS 5.0.1 that I'm trying to jailbreak using Sn0wbreeze 2.8b11. I would use redsn0w but I need to hacktivate the device. Once I make the custom IPSW and restore the phone with it, the phone will go through the first part of restoration and iTunes will bring up a message that says that my iPhone has been restored to factory settings and that I should leave it in. When I do that and the iPhone restarts, all I see is the Apple logo and a loading bar that never fills. I've left it for several hours like that and nothing has happened. Any ideas?

Tried it. Redsn0w wouldn't even let me click next for some reason.

Also wanted to mention that I DID use iReb to put it into pwned DFU mode.

I just tried it, that version works fine.

Did you open redsn0w, click on extras, just boot?

If you are running windows 7, it will not work, you need to run it in windows XP compatible.

Ahh I see so that's what the problem was. Anyways, I opened up redsn0w and put my iPhone in DFU mode and did the Just Boot Tethered option and it worked. Thank you so much!
