Hi everyone, I have been using imac for a long time and recently thinking to upgrade to a mac studio, I dont do much video editing but want to be able to open unlimited browsers tabs (very important to me :)) all the time without slowing the machine and hearing the cpu fan running noise, so question is, should I buy the M4 Max with less memory, or should I save the money on RAM to buy a M2 max with more RAM?

Thank you!

If all you are concerned about is browser tabs you'd save a lot of money just buying an either a stock M4 Pro Mini or a CTO M4 Mini with 32GB RAM. RAM is the biggest bottleneck when talking about any M4 iteration and web browsing. But if you must have a studio the stock unit will be more than enough. BTW fan noise on the Studio is minimal unless you are in a sound-proof room. Even then you really have to push the Studio to get the fan kicking in. Web browsing isn't goin to do that.

I'd say M4 Max mac studio and gauge your ram accordingly, m3 ultra isn't that well performing based on the recent early reviews ive seen from real world creators. unless if it involves GPU/video rendering/ramintensive
