Need something clarified about Redsn0w and iOS5

I just read on Dev Team's blog that the latest redsn0w can create a custom (in the extras) ipsw without the baseband. Am I correct to assume that it will not jailbreak (tethered) the iPhone if I use the Custom IPSW feature? I'm only interested in upgrading to iOS5 (without jailbreak) and preserve my baseband from 4.

yes if u do it right.. upgrade ur itunes.. create the no-bb custom IPSW...with redsnow, then DFU mode use itunes to load it...
