so im looking for a DVI splitter for my MBP (DVI out) so that i can display to my external monitor and my TV.... any one have any recommendations?

Im not trying to have different images on the 2 externals, i am fine with the same thing on both!

There are some USB DVI adapters that you could use the mirroring function of OS X with. Make sure you get something that supports all the resolutions you are looking for.

Also, you may not get QE/CI (Quartz Extreme and Core Image) on all of them. So choose wisely based on the features you need.

What inputs does your TV and external monitor use?

I believe there is a output dongle that splits to DVI, but not VGA/DVI. You would have to have multiple dongle convertors to do that. It might work.

I have to admit, I am not sure why you would do this.

well when i am at my desk, i want to use my monitor... but when im on the couch i wanna use my tv as my monitor..

right now i have to go to my mbp and switch the dvi cord..
