Need spreadsheet program that works with Excel

I am responsible for the schedule for my group of 12. I make the schedule on a Mac with Microsoft Excel. I just got a new iPad and need to be able to move between the iPad and my Mac to work on the schedule. Is there an app that will let me do this? Looks to me like Numbers will only let me read my Excel spreadsheet--not change it..Help!

Several. First, I'd be surprised if Numbers didn't allow you to edit. However there are several apps that are more Microsoft based. Docs2Go, Office HD, Quick Office HD all will do what you want. I use Docs2go with Dropbox but it will also work with other online storage accounts.

Numbers will let you import an excel file, edit and then export to excel.

I read the reviews for Numbers in the app store the other day and they are mixed to say the least. Lots of complaints about compatibiliby issues and loss of data and/or formatting issues. Doesn't seem worth $10 to me if it's going to work spotty at best.
