So I'm about to RMA my second set of 8GB NuRam back to OWC this week! To fill you in I have a brand new 15" i7, and the first set just seems back apps would crash left and right, kernel panics you name it. The second set of ram seemed fine yesterday while I was using it all day. But this morning I got to boot it up and the intel graphics spazz out and start flickering around and does so till the computer warmed up to about 35C. Typically I wouldn't care but living in a cold state the snow alot and my class room is freezing unless I'm using my Maya program or After Affects I can idle and get around the 35C mark in class. So I've sent this set back for a Refund and decided I will try a different brand.
So has anyone had any issues with the OWC or Crucial brands yet? I've heard that the NuRam and OWC are the same chip but I don't know if that's been confirmed yet....so I guess I'm looking for people that have put 8gb's in there i7 machines with out any issues....
