Need suggestion/Help and eyes in market.

Hi Guys

I am new to this forum, though I follow all news on apple through macrumor, I need some help from all of you guys and need suggestion on some thing
so here it is : I am planning to buy iMAC 27" latest model.

I want to use my iMAC for following things:

Since 27" model is special and can be use as an external monitor using the fast thunderbolt connectors

(*) As a Home computer
(*) As a entertaining center by connecting my Xbox with it to display content on the screen and play sound from it. through HDMI
(*) connect my ofc PC to be able to display screen on my iMac so that I utilize the big screen with great resolution.

I know few of the adapters are available in market which you can use to achieve it like :

this was available on apple store also , but looks like they remove it from apple store online.

but I want to know about all converters available in market and this is where I need help from you guys. please let me know you know any converters/cables and setup which is capable of this setup please let me know. I also seek suggestions on how good will be quality of video and sound using these adapters...

None of these adapters will work with the current models. They require a thunderbolt connection, which no adapter currently supports. You will also have to use a different source for audio, as target display mode is video only.

At least previous generations supported audio when in TDM, not sure if it has changed with TB.

Just checked with apple store. I personally went to a apple store asked one of the genius to connect belkin adapter to 27 inch iMac with hdmi connected tv for target display mode through thunder bolts and it didn't worked I guess we will have to wait untill TB compatible adapters comes to market.
