Need suggestions on what I should buy

Hello all,

So I'm sort of a n00b. I am pretty familiar with my iMac and everything that came with it and so far loving it. It's what I use at work and I don't personally own one yet.

I am looking to buy a macbook pro

I do need opinions on what model to buy.

So what I need it for:

I will be producing music with it and taking it with me to do gigs and I see most of the DJ's in the industry rely heavily on it. There is not a chance I will risk bringing a windows unit to a show only to have it crash on me in the middle of a set.

I will be running Ableton Live on it 24/7.

If anyone can please guide me to which model would best fit my needs I would greatly appreciate it

The base model should do fine, but upgrade it to 4gb ram yourself (not through apple). Also, wait a couple weeks for the mbp update.
