So my 2011 MBP gave out on me about 2 months ago, and I've been saving up since for the new 2016 MBP. I've been without laptop for awhile now, which has been ok because my school has computers I can use. However, in a couple weeks I'll be going home for a month, and need something to hold me over until January or so. All it needs to be capable of is surfing the web (applying to jobs), maybe Netflix, and that's pretty much it. I've been scouring eBay for old used MacBooks but haven't had much luck. Ideally, this laptop would be under 50 bucks. Any ideas?

I agree with @fisherking. You should look for a cheap ChromeBook on craigslist or something similar.
