Hello my mother has given me her old iPhone because she got iPhone 3g. I am in need of a sim card but do not live near an ATT corporate store. My question is, if I bought a Gophone with sim card at best buy, and put that unactivated sim into my iPhone, could I proceed with iPhone activation? I am planning on using the 2 yr contract so I don't want prepaid. Other than that, would a kiosk at a mall sell me a SIM? Thanks!

What happened to the SIM that was in the phone? I believe the kiosk will sell you a SIM card for a ridiculous price... Not sure, but I think the GoPhones use the standard SIM card as does all AT&T phones, so it should work as well.

The SIM that was in the phone has been lost. I am planning on getting a 10 dollar gophone at best buy tomorrow and hoping it works. thanks!
