I have a DJ mix that I'm going to convert to MP3 (originally recorded with Sound Designer II).

I want to convert the song to MP3, but then be able to go into the MP3 file and add ID tags at specific points, so as the MP3 file plays, the song titles will change as the track progresses.

Does anyone know of a program that can do this? iTunes doesn't seem to have this capability.

No, you can't do that. You can, however, break the MP3 into separate tracks, each with its own song title.

Every time I've tried that, I get glitches between tracks, depending on what the collection of files is being played back on.

I've never had a problem splitting a single MP3 into multiple tracks. What software are you using to do it? I've had good success with Audacity.
