Hello,

The protective glass cover on my iSight camera is scratched, so now I need to change it. Any ideas on what I should do? Is it something I can fix myself or do I need professionals to do it?

I have to say, mines the same as you. But i havnt noticed a difference when recording video.

So not sure why you would want to replace it?

Like pica93 said, if the scratches don't completely opaque the glass, it shouldn't matter too much. The focal distance difference between the glass and you is so much they probably won't noticeably show up on any 640x480 type video, less 1.3MP stills.

Thanks, but you´re not really helping.

:)

I have kids and they have scratched the iSight glass cover so much it is impossible to use the iSight cam.

It´s all blurry. You can not make sense of what you see through it.

I really need to change the cover, but I don´t know how.

Try looking on ifixit.com.
And in future, teach your kids not to screw around with expensive equipment, and never to touch the lens of a camera.
