Looking for some advice on what is the cheapest, most reliable way to convert a couple vhs tapes to DVD.

Any suggestions?

buy a canon minidv or hdv camcorder that allow analog to digital conversion (analog input). you can then input directly from the old device through the camcorder to the computer via imovie or final cut. a plus too.... all your new home videos will be digital.

If you have a local Ritz or Wolf Camera, they will do it in an hour if they have the machine. It may take two days if they need to use a nearby store. It will only cost about $32. Thanks.
