i have a 2010 iMac that was a dump pick. i ordered off of ebay a usb high sierra thumbdrive. that went well. however, the software did not include iWork. i do use pages, and would like to install it onto the machine. i've looked into online methods, but nothing seems good. i came across a 2009 iWork box/install disc. however, my superdrive won't read discs (spits them back out). i was thinking i could use a cd/dvd player to load it. usb to firewire? not sure. any suggestions?

thx for that. looks like i have to join to download. since i have a retail disc, and i have a 2011 laptop with a working superdrive, can i connect to the imac with a firewire cable to transfer the software?

iWork 9.3 at https://support.apple.com/en-us/106448

This might just be an update if you already have Iwork 09? I found iWork on my 2011 MBP. Reads about 600 mb. I also put the disc into the laptop. So, the laptop has two iWork options.

Decided to migrate assist the entirety of my failing 2011 MBP to the iMac. The iMac hard drive was nearly empty @ 500gb, so I decided to essentially back up my old laptop onto it. And this way I can connect older legacy devices to it.
