I teach in a school where all my students have laptops. I have used the Notebook format in Word extensively with the kids - they get most of the documents I provide for them in this format. It's easy because I can basically roll a bunch of documents into one and that way they don't mislabel things, lose documents, etc. I love it.

Unfortunately, my school has decided that Office is too expensive and we are now shifting to Open Office. The problem for me is that this version of word does not have the notebook feature. I am desperately trying to find an alternative!! I found Circus Ponies Notebook software, but it's $30 per license and this is too much. Are there any other alternatives out there??
