To whomever can be of assistance,

I need to find a new cable for my 20" Cinema Wide screen Display (model # A1081). The part I am looking for is the cable that attaches from the monitor itself to 4 parts- display, power, usb, fire. My stupid cat chewed the wire and it stopped working. I took it to the apple store but they wanted 300 bucks to take it and fix it.

My question(s):
1- Can anyone tell me the part I am looking for and possible a link to where I can find it?
2- The white plug that connects to the monitor, does that come off or do I need to remove it from the inside (it seems really stuck on there).

Thanks for any help & see picture for the part.

The cable does not unplug...

Hi J

If you haven't received any replies and you still need an aswer ;
The cable does not unplug, it does connect directly to the boards with seven different connectors (3 of them go the power board, and four to the video board)
I'm also having the same problem and having a hard time finding a new cable assembly. If I do find a source, I will let you know. May I ask you to do same? Thanks

ps; If you need help opening the monitor, let me know. I'll try to help out...
