Hello,

I have an airport extreme base station (the ufo looking one) and a nintendo wii. I am trying to connect the wii wirelessly and it will not accept my wep network password. On nintendo's site it says that it will not accept the password and that it needs the wep key. I have tried looking in my keychain and I can't find it. I have airport utility installed, but it keeps asking for my base station password and it rejects every one i enter.

My questions are

1. how do i find out my base station password

2. how do i find out the wep key?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Craig

If you plug a Mac (or a PC) physically into the AEBS ethernet port, you can configure it without a password. So do this, load up the Airport utility, and then set a new password and a new WEP password if necessary.

This old thread explains how to get the WEP equivalent key that matches your password.

Base station password should be available in Keychain Access.
Select 'login'-keychain and 'All Items'-category.
Type 'Airport base' in search box.

I'm sorry, but the link did not appear. Which thread is it?
