Hey everyone,

I want to make a basic database that will collect someone's name, phone number, email, etc. I have already done this with google docs and I can have people fill all there info, click submit and then the next person can do this. However, that requires internet access, and sometimes I don't have access to that.

So the real question is... what program can I use that will allow me to make this simple database and also have a clean frontend for someone to type into on a laptop. I don't care about them being locked out from the computer, they just cannot be presented with a spreadsheet where they have to type their information in. See an example of what the user currently sees with Google docs (this is the 'Live Form').

This will be used by people coming up to my laptop and physically putting their information in on my laptop, not over the internet. Just FYI.

This will be a real help if someone can suggest a working solution.

I just installed gears. No "offline" button came up. I don't think Google is even supporting gears these days.
