Hello Guys,

I need to mount my iPad to a vertical pipe (parallel to the ground).

I came across this from RAM Mounts. Seems perfect and exactly what I want, but it says it clamps to rails up to 1.25". The bar I need to clamp to is about 2"!

http://www.amazon.com/RAM-Mounting-...CW/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1303218500&sr=8-11

I tried RAM Mounts's website. They have some pretty interesting products, but they all seem to go up to 1.25" only.

Would appreciate any suggestions!

Thanks!

Interesting. I'm just not sure I would trust the whole velcro thing, at least in my case.

Here's my setup;

A dental chair with a 2" column, vertically standing to the left of the chair, perpendicular to the ground. (A tray is attached to its lower part; check attached image).

I want the iPad to attach, in a similar way, to the upper part of the column. Now the RAM Mount I found an amazon would have been perfect; It has an extended arm (positioning the iPad in front of the patient sitting on the chair, rather than sideways to his left), and it swivels left/right/up/down, allowing different viewing angles. Unfortunately, the RAM Mount works on columns up to 1.25". The tray works on columns of 2", or 1.5" with the purchase of an optional bushing kit. But it certainly won't clamp on a 1.25" column.

PS: I'm not sure velcro would even work in this case, as there is little contact area between the iPad and the 1.5" cylindrical pipe.

Thanks for the suggestion though! Any body knows of anything else that might work?

Appreciated!
