Hey everyone,
I need to partition an external hard drive because time machine requires its own partition. How would i go about this without deleting the entire drive and doing it that way?
Thanks,
Shawn

Is there a way you could be more specific on how i would go about this? I dont have a redundant backup of the drive and i dont want to **** anything up.

Do what he said. Open disk utility.

Then click on the drive you wish to partition. Go to partition. Click the single partition square then click the + sign on the bottom. Size your partition and choose the format type. Go.

Nothing will be lost.
