Need to record parts of Skype video on MBA for free, to help friend w/ medical issue

I need a free Skype video recording program that won't overload my MBA or lag. My MBA is a 13 inch 2013 model with the slower processor and 4gb memory.

I don't need to record entire calls - just chunks of them. But the recording does need to be lag-free. The reason I need it is because a friend of mine is having seizures during calls and I need to be able hit "record" when he starts having one and send the videos of his seizures to him after the call. So it's important.

yes fullscreen, or just a part of the screen/window. To record just a part/window, just mark an area...
