hi guys,

new to the site, but i have owned several macs over the past decade....

i have a 2009 iMac 24", 1TB HD, 3.06GHZ Intel, 8GB Memory... my hard drive is corrupt, i spoke with apple over the phone for an hour, i tried to upgrade from 10.6.8 to the new mountain lion and now i am locked out...

anyway, can you guys help me figure out exactly what hard drive i would need to replace it, and where i could purchase it without breaking the bank? i want the same exact drive..

thanks a bunch to anyone that can help!

----------

i am assuming that amazon would be the best bet to ordering one..

Can't you open the back up and see what drive is installed?

i honestly cannot do anything, everytime i start my computer up, it brings me to the install mountain lion screen, i cannot even get the computer in safe mode...

this is what a member suggested, i appreciate the help!

Good luck!

Going to post pics. Install went well, taking it apart was fun and easy....I setup the new hard drive and the puter and it works great!
