I own a 13" MPB 5,5 Intel Core 2 Duo. I believe it's a 2011.

My computer has been experiencing hard freezes multiple times a day for about 3 years. I've upgraded the RAM, replaced the HD with a SSD and replaced the battery. The stock battery had swelled and possibly cracked or damaged the logic board. My plan is to get a cheap MBP on ebay or Craigslist and cannibalize the logic board. What models have logic boards compatible with mine?

You can see the thread about my problems with this machine here:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

If you have a MacBookPro5,5 - then that is a 2009 model, not 2011. (2011 used i5 or i7 processor, not core2duo)

I THINK a 2010 13-inch would go right in, but not sure. Better to find the exact model MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2009)
Maybe you can find one with a broken display. Moving your display to that one is pretty simple, compared to replacing the logic board.

Thanks. I wonder if the SSD I bought could go in a slightly newer model? Then I could just install my current SSD into a newer MPG and possibly upgrade the RAM.

Sure, depending on what version of OS X you have on your SSD. El Capitan would work in anything newer.
Physically, you need a MBP that supports a 2.5-inch SATA drive, so anything up to a 2012 13-inch, your present SSD would go right in place.
