iPod touch Need to restore, question

I need to restore my iPod touch because for some reason, when i launch an app, it thinks the app is full screen, when it's really minimized to the top left hand corner of the screen. So i see that the only way, through iTunes to restore, is to upgrade to 5.1. So since the untethered jailbreak isn't fully out for 5.1, i would rather have 5.0.1. Is there any possible way to get 5.0.1 instead of 5.1 in a restore?

Pretty sure if you download the IPSW you want, shift-click "restore" select that IPSW it should give you the desired result.

As long as it is not a downgrade.

Depending on the model of iPod touch you should be able to download the .ipsw file that you want, the iPod touch supports downgrading.

Heres a link for the .ipsw files if you need 5.0.1

Download the apropriate file and then like mentioned above, shift restore in iTunes and direct iTunes to the file.
