BR discs freeze roughly every 10 minutes for 10 seconds at a time, for each and every disc I own. Games play fine, and non-BR discs play fine also, but I didn't buy the PS3 to be a regular DVD player - I got it to watch BR discs on, and this has been a consistent problem.

1) Anyone had similar issues?

2) How does one go about getting a PS3 replaced?

Did you purchase it within 30 days? If so, try to take it back to the store for an exchange. Otherwise, you're going to have to call Sony. Don't bother with e-mail support, they are just going to tell you to call the number.
