I did a short film 6 years ago that I have on DVD. I am wanting to put the movie on youtube for my friends to watch. What do I need to do to get the movie off the DVD in a quicktime format so I can put it on youtube? Thanks in advance

Need to Rip a DVD and Get A Quicktime Vid Out Of It

Get "mpeg streamclip" http://www.squared5.com/
Put your dvd in your computer, close the player if it opens automatically, and look at the files on the dvd. You'll see several .vob files. The largest one is probably your movie. Start mpeg streamclip and drag that vob file onto it. You can play it there to see if it's the file you want. Go to File/Export to Quicktime and make all your desired settings (quality, file dimensions, deinterlace, etc.) Export! That's it.
