Need to transfer data from mac book air as OS has been corrupted

Hi All,

I need a help on how to transfer data from Mac to any other location using ssh, FTP or nfs.

I am using Macbook air and OS has been corrupted and i need to recover my mails and other data...

What i am doing is using a Install CD of Mac i am able to go to my mails and data using terminal but not able to transfer data using NFS, FTP and ssh as all these commands are not available if you are using install CD.

For connection i am using wi-fi on macbook air which is connected when using install CD....

Please help me out of this.......
