need to unlock iphone 3g...need help

Im on the iphone 3g 4.1 with modem firmware 05.14.02...never unlocked before, is it possible to unlock this phone currently or is there a way to go back to say 4.0 and unlock? Got a buyer for this POS phone but needs to be unlocked first. Please help...Thanks

You can't unlock 4.1. You'll need to downgrade to 4.0.1.

Here's the steps to downgrade:

After you do that, goto Jailbreakme.com and follow instructions to jailbreak.

Then goto Cydia and search for Ultrasn0w which will unlock your phone.

The page only partially loads and unfortunately its the instructions that aren't loading! Anyone know of another link that explains how to downgrade?
