Need to update video card drivers but can't boot to desktop

I think my video card died about a month ago and I've been trying out some cards with no success. Here is a previous thread I made about it:

I just got the second card I'm trying today: ATI X800 XT AGP, and my computer will just sit at the grey apple screen with no wheel spinning. I'm assuming this is a driver issue (or something much worse)! Since my computer will not boot, I have no idea how to update the drivers for this card. Any ideas?

Also, I've already tried safe mode, single user mode, verbose mode. None of them have worked, just sitting at that grey screen with no wheel spinning.
