So...I have a Macbook Air (early 2014) and the trackpad wont move the cursor around. Clicking works fine. I have tried all the usual resets (SMC,PRAM) I even tried reinstalling it with mavericks and sierra with the same symptoms. I have tried replacing the trackpad itself. The weird thing is if I boot holding Option to get to boot drives the trackpad will works as expected. Once I boot into the OS it stops. Like I said it can click fine. It just wont move the cursor or do multi touch swipes. Any ideas??

@ApfelKuchen Yes, I tried a guest user. Same symptoms. First time I haven't been able to fix an issue. Kinda frustrating. If I don't get it done by tomorrow I'm going to give it back and send her to an Apple store.
