Am looking at powered USB3 hubs for my early 2015 MacBook Air. At the moment am eyeing a HooToo 7 USB3 port, 2 charging port one. (Probably don't really need more than 4 USB ports and maybe one charging port for my iPhone.) Have two question areas that I can't resolve from what is said on Amazon. First, one of the accessories I will want to plug in is the gizmo for my Logitech wireless mouse. I understand that in some instances something causes interference and the wireless mouse won't work. Would like to know what to be on the lookout for. Second, I think I would like that kind of unit where one can unplug things like my WD hard drive and USB sticks without turning off everything. What do I look for to do that? Any guidance gratefully appreciated.

I am a big fan of Satechi products. I have 2 hubs - a 10 and an 7. Expensive, but rock solid and above average build quality. No problem with my Logitech dongle or removing devices - SD and CF cards, iPhones, iPads, disks, etc.

Just "chatted" with Logitech technician who said that the 2.4 Ghz thing would not impact my mouse operation. So think that question is answered.
