I have to laugh. Apple said I need to upgrade my $7000.00 2012 mac pro to a compatible video card in order to run 10.4. Problem is nobody makes a card for this 50 pound paper weight. I swear this is the last Mac I’m buying, and I was in line since the first Mac Pro in 1984!

I feel your pain. I'm pretty ticked I can't run Mojave on my Apple II with its Videx Ultraterm video card installed in slot #3. I paid $380 for that video card and I blame Apple for not continuing to support it in 10.14.

“The first Mac Pro in 1984”.

Also, do some research before making silly claims.

I am 100% sure even upgrade the video card cannot run 10.4 on a 2012 Mac Pro 5,1. At most, can run 10.14.

Also, “I’m buying” a $7000 2012 Mac Pro (now?). That sounds way too expensive to me.

There are at least three 3rd party Mac Edition cards exist for 2012 Mac Pro.

And of course, the first gen Mac Pro launched in 2006.
