I have a Mac mini. I am wanting to try out the Skype video conference app.
I need user feedback on which cameras are good and which ones to avoid.
Will any old web cam work even if the packaging ignores Mac users?
I see some with manual focus. So how does that work? Is there a picture in picture to let you see what the camera is transmitting?
I guess USB is standard connection.

If you have used Skype, how well does it work? Is there a big time delay (I will be chatting with someone in UK who is using a Dell)? Does audio and video stay in sync?

Thanks,
Rick

So you have a Mac Pro or Mac Mini? If you use iChat there are boxes to see the people you are talking too and to see yourself. I'm not sure about Skype though. BTW, why don't you want to use iChat for your video conference. I believe you can converse with people using Skype, AIM, and MSN Messenger.

David
