Needing Higher Res Projector

Hey gang. I'm hoping someone out there can help me out. I'm a media teacher at the local high school and community college and I really need a projector that can support a higher resolution....and preferably at a widescreen setting so as to limit the "fuzz". The highest I can find is about 1024 x 768, and I would like something larger...without spending over $3500. Any suggestions?
