iPod touch Needs to be restored after syncing

i have the Ipod touch 4g and had 4.3.5 on it a while ago. I synced it to my computer and after i ejected it my music was all erased, so i plug it back in and it says that "itunes cannot read the contents of this ipod, and that it must be restored. I have restored it about ten or more times in the past couple weeks. It was jailbroken at one point. but it still had the error after it being set to factory conditions
