Howdy:

I have a older iMac with a Fusion Drive. After reading all about it here I decided to go ahead and upgrade from Yosemite to High Sierra, mainly because everyone told me it would not change the HFS file system to the APFS.

So, things are okay EXCEPT my email software. "Apple mail". I rebuilt the data base and I think I am still missing some old emails but....when I go to send email OUT it hangs and hangs and never seems to complete the upload.

I can receive incoming email and the Internet works fine. Just having issues sending out emails.

Anyone got an easy fix for me to do easily?

Thank you in advance!

Problem fixed--was a port issue with my ISP- and their lack of knowledge- good ole country living! A chat with APPLE support and comparing my iPad settings helped to solve this mystery! So now I am pressing on!
