Hello,

are there any negative effects of disconnecting the battery by the MacBook Pro Early 2011?

The one thing I noticed is that after re-connecting and plug in MagSafe the computer booted itself.

Any thoughts?

Apart from the obvious that if you unplug it it will turn off, you'll probably find it clocks down to 1/2 its normal speed if there's no battery connected

I disconnected the battery because of installing new RAM, see the instruction at iFixit.

Ah, sorry - I misunderstood and thought you were running it without the battery.
I wouldn't think there'd be any negative effect from temporarily disconnecting the battery as long as you didn't damage anything while doing it
