Neo office spell checker?

I am having seriuos trouble with the Neo Office spell checker! It won't work at all, I will have it check a document for spelling errors and it won't pick any up. I thought this was strange because my poor spelling to miss spelled a word on purpose and the spell checker didn't pick it up

Does anyone know what I should do to fix this?

It will only spell check when there is a "(checkmark)ABC" beside the language you selected. So you have to pick the closest language.

For instance, I'm in Canada, so I choose English(UK) since English(Canada) doesn't exist.
