So I have a Nest camera and I had Nest Aware so I could review the last 5 days footage. Nest was recently bought by Google.

I then bought a Google Pixel 3a. Suddenly, the app didn't work properly and reviewing footage didn't work.

Nest support finally admitted it was a Pixel-only problem. So they cancelled my Nest Aware in order to give me a couple of months free.

Now, I can't re-sign-up because Google have now decided to migrate Nest accounts over to Google Home, but because I use G-Suite (so my Gmail address is actually me@mycompany rather than me@gmail) Google will not allow me to migrate my Nest account across. Why not? No idea.

So Google have bought Nest and broken it to the point that, even though I have a Gmail/G-Suite account and a Google phone, I simply cannot use Nest Aware. I now have a Nest Cam I can't use.

Why do Google do this?!

Google actually bought Nest 5 years ago but kept it pretty quiet until they recently decided to migrate Nest accounts to Google ones. The issue with G-Suite accounts having limited access to Google services is a real pain and was one of the reasons I moved from G-Suite to Office 365 and just signed up for a personal Gmail account instead

About the only thing I can suggest is that you use a personal gmail account (i.e. not a G-Suite one), even if you have to create one just for use with Nest.

The other alternative is to sell your Nest Cam and find an alternative because I think you'll be waiting a very long time if you're waiting for Google to add the ability to use G-Suite accounts with Google Home
