I have just purchased a Nest thermostat and had it installing by a heating engineer.

The automation stuff is working fine, and it detects when I'm away, and so on.

However, it does not do a very good job of detecting the actual temperature. It always seems to stay at around the 23-25℃ mark. I have set the heating to come on at 20℃ so it never comes on. Even first thing in the morning it was showing a temperature in the room of 22℃ which can't have been correct as the room was very cold, and it meant it only got 1 degree colder during the night. I have to set the heating at 25℃ to get it to come on, which defeats the object a bit.

Has anyone had similar problems and may know a way to resolve this. I have emailed Nest Support, too, but not had a response yet.
