Question for anyone using the Nest Thermostat (I have an actual Nest Thermostat currently, not a Learning Thermostat or an E. Google's instructions say that you are supposed to be able to set up air filter change reminders on the Google Home app by selecting your thermostat, going to Settings, then notifications and toggling on 'Air Filter Reminders'.

Has anyone gotten this to work? I used to have it on my 2nd Gen Nest Learning Thermostat, and remember selecting something when I set up this thermostat, but I'm not getting any notifications, and when I go to the app, I can see 'Air Filter Reminders' but I can't select or deselect it. I can touch it, but nothing happens.

Curious if anyone else is seeing this. I tried googling it, but don't see anyone else complaining about it.

Refresh my memory? You mean you have the original Nest device from way back in the good ol' days? If so I recall that device was killed off including any software support or updates. Google kills off everything and never seems to polish off to perfection anything.

No, this is one of the ones that Google released after buying Nest. I had the 2nd Gen Nest Learning Thermostat and got the notice that they are shutting down the Nest app, and as such my 2nd Gen will no longer be supported.

My mom had the Nest Thermostat (the one I"m writing about) at her house but never used it. She got it free from the electric company. I installed it to see if it would handle my needs. And aside from the air filter reminders, it's been ok. This is the one I have: https://store.google.com/us/product/nest_thermostat?hl=en-US
